Agriculture: Partnering with the Remo Development Initiative on Poverty Alleviation

As part of our commitment to sustainable development and economic empowerment, we are collaborating with the Remo Development Initiative on Poverty Alleviation to enhance agricultural productivity and create meaningful livelihoods through fish farming.

Project Overview: Lipetoro Fish Farm Estate

  • Location: Ikenne, Ogun State

  • Land Coverage: 25 hectares of dedicated fish farming clusters

  • Infrastructure: 250 well-structured fish ponds

  • Active Farmers: 105 individuals currently engaged in full-time operations

This initiative supports local farmers and communities by providing access to resources and structured agricultural support aimed at long-term success.

RGDF’s Support Plans

The Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF) is actively driving this initiative with a multi-faceted approach:

  1. Supporting selected farmers in creating commercially viable business plans

  2. Facilitating revolving credit access through commercial banking partners

  3. Connecting farmers to broader markets for sustainable and profitable sales

  4. Providing access to expert agricultural services to improve quality and yield

  5. Promoting long-term success through continuous training and advisory support

This collaboration exemplifies how targeted agricultural investments can foster inclusive growth and poverty alleviation in rural communities.
